Our home based Kennel was founded in 1994. We are soley dedicated to The Labrador Retriever. Our first Lab was a black female named “Oakley”… hence our kennel name “BlackOak Labrador Retrievers” Oakley loved obedience, agility and duck hunting. She was a loyal family pet that gave the family much pleasure and in turn we loved her very much. Oakley Crossed the Rainbow Bridge December 1st 2003.

Our first Foundation Bitch was purchases in 1995. She was a sweet yellow girl named "SADIE". Sadie came to us via - June Onda of Corhampton Labradors. Sadie has given us some of the most Beautiful Yellow & Black puppies. They will carry on her legacy. Sadie was in her 11th year when she crossed the Rainbow Bridge on April 16th 2006.

As we became more involved with our Labs, we headed to the "Conformation Ring".
Once I experienced my first show I was definitely hooked! With lots of practice, trial and errors, I have been able to achieve their conformation Championship Titles.
Combining what we learned in the show ring on what makes a structurally sound dog with proper movement, we applied this knowledge into our breeding program. Working first hand with our dogs has allowed us to achive these goals!

The Hallmark of BlackOak Labradors was originally built on Blacks and Yellows,
however, in 2004 we proudly introduce Our First Chocolate Girl. We will continue to maintain and produce Quality Labrador Retrievers in all three colors
BLACK, YELLOW and CHOCOLATE.

We are small hobby breeders that usually produce two -three litters per year. We breed
to better the breed and to enjoy quality Labradors Retrievers. Our breeding stock must have Outstanding Temperament, Soundness and lots of Type. All our breedings are carefully planned & selected with proper Clearances....

We are proud Members of the Canadian Kennel Club, American Kennel Club and the Labrador Owners Club of Ontario.
